Summary: This article devoted to explore the problem of negation,major Features of the vertical structure of the field of functional-semantic negation in modern english.Then It was proceeded to examine a direct relationshib between affirmation and negation and was indicated that there is unbreakble bridge between them that is why they can not exist withot the other.On the one hand İt is inicated that there are numerous elements in semantic – functional field of vertical negation .On the other hand these essential elements were compared and were found out similarities and variaties among them .The dominant and leading role of particle “ not” was particulary empahised in the category of negation in modern english.The means of sematic –functional of negation were profoundly explored factual materials and explained comprehensively. İt was also noted that category of negation is both a philosophical category and grammatical ,however its realization alters the content affecting content threfore it becomes semantic field.As a result it was mentioned in article that realization of one or several negators or negative constituents in a sentence are depend on the syntactic laws of language and it reflects common typlology of the functional-semantic field.

Xülasə: Bu məqalə inkarlıq məsələsini. müasir ingilis dilində semantik-funksional inkarlıq sahəsinin şaquli strukturunun əsas xüsusiyyətlərini araşdırmağa həsr olunub. Daha sonra təsdiq və inkarlıq arasında birbaşa əlaqənin olması izah olunmağa davam edilib və onlar arasinda sınmaz körpünün olduğu və buna görə onların birinin mövcudluğu olmadan digərinində mövcudluğunun mümkünsüz olduğu göstərilib.Bir tərəfdən semanyik-funksional inkarlığın şaquli strukturunun çoxlu elementleri olduğu göstərilib.Digər tətəfdən də bu elementlər hər tərəfli müqayisə olunub və onlar arasındakı fərqli və oxşar cəhətlər aşkar olunub.Müasir ingilis dilində inkarlıq sahəsində not ədadtının aparıcı və dominant rolu xüsusilə vurğulanıb.Məqaləd funksional semantik inkarlıq vasitələri faktiki materiallar əsasında dərindən araşdırılıb və hərtərəfli izah olunub.İnkarlıq kateqoriyasının həm fəlsəfi, həm də qrammatik kateqoriya olması ancaq onun inkarlıq kateqoriyasi olaraq reallaşması məzmuna təsir edərək məzmunun dəyişməsi və buna görədə onun semantik sahəyə çevrilməsi qeyd olunur.Nəticə olaraq məqalədə göstərilib ki bir cümlədə bir və ya bir neçə neqator və ya neqative konstitutentin reallaşması dilin sintaktik qanunlarından aslıdır və və o özünü dilin funksional –semantik tipologiyasında əks etirir.
