The article analyzes the poetics of Mashkhur Zhussip Kopeyev, an outstanding representative of Kazakh literature of the early twentieth century, folklorist, poet, religious educator from the point of view of literary connection with the literature of the Turkic peoples, thematic and genre specificity, content, artistic specificity. The purpose of the article is to consider the breadth and originality of Mashkhur Zhussip's poetics in relation to the heritage of the Turkic peoples. In the poet's work, the question of the Oriental motif has been investigated and proved at the level of a dissertation, a monograph. The connection of Kazakh written literature with Arabic should be considered in the context of the theme of religion, in the genre of poetry of religious enlightenment, as well as in connection with the literature of the Turkic peoples. Especially in the context of the consonance of themes, the similarity with the Tatar peoples is analyzed. In the course of the analysis, the problem of literary relations between the Kazakh and Tatar peoples of the early twentieth century in book studies and the publication of newspaper magazines is considered. The contribution of Mashkhur Zhussip Kopeyev to this problem, published books and articles that underlie our scientific work will also be analyzed. It is worth noting that the research has scientific and practical significance. The results of the research can be used in the courses «Mashkhurtanu», literature lessons, local history of the early twentieth century and in general on the theory of literature.
