Currently, scientific and technological achievements are given great importance in the development of society. It is in this context that educational programs develop students' research skills, as well as increase the efficiency of the educational process through new teaching using innovative technologies. Research in the natural sciences in general allows us to see connections between phenomena and opens up new opportunities for further research. Through research, students deeply understand the laws of not only chemistry, but also physics, biology and other sciences. Therefore, research in natural sciences is important in education. Chemistry is the main natural science subject in the school curriculum. The method of chemical experiments plays an important role in teaching chemistry to schoolchildren. The experimental method allows students not only to acquire theoretical knowledge, but also to understand its practical application. This article discusses the importance of conducting chemical experiments in chemistry lessons as part of improving students' research skills. The benefits of using experiential experiences in learning and their role in developing critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills are discussed. Emphasis is placed on the importance of chemical experimentation as a means of developing interest in learning, practical skills, and a deep understanding of chemical concepts, which promotes the development of investigative thinking and prepares students for successful scientific careers. The benefits of using practical exercises in the learning process are discussed, such as stimulating interest in the subject, developing observation skills, generating hypotheses and analyzing results. In general, the experimental method in teaching chemistry is of great importance for the development of independent research skills in students, which will be useful to them in future scientific and professional activities.
