In this study, the expectations of Generation Z from work life and the expectations of managers regarding Generation Z were investigated. The target of the study is generation Z, who are currently studying at university. Determining what individuals want before they start their working lives helps managers understand this. It is to determine what the next generation expects from the next generation and thus to discover the points where the minimum common points can be found by ensuring that these two generations work in the same environment. There are many studies in the literature about generation Z. This research reveals not only what Gen Z expects from business life and managers, but also what managers need from this generation, what they expect and what matters. What Generation Z understands about working, their expectations from their future work life and managers, and the impact of pandemic conditions on their work life expectations, and the definition and expectations of Generation Z for managers, what they think they will change in their work life, and their belief in their potential to meet their expectations. This study observed the new generation and existing managers who are about to face the working life, as well as how they need to adapt to each other.
