The article considers education as a social institution that performs many social functions. Her influence on the individual is explored and how she becomes a worthy individual for society is discussed. In this regard, education is assessed as a process of assimilation of knowledge, sciences and skills collected by humanity. It is argued that its main function is to protect the economic, social, humanitarian and cultural progress of society. Based on historical research, it is revealed that there is a dialectical interaction between education and socialization. It is substantiated that education plays an important role in the formation of personality, comprehensive development of personality and social integration. It is shown that socialization is closely related to the educational process. Recently, it has been noted that the traditional model of education, which was formed over many years, has degraded and does not adequately respond to the socialization of modern man. Ways out of the situation are shown, as well as factors of the influence of education on socialization, the role played in socialization and approaches.
