In this study, the concept of "home (nest)," which is an important element of Turkish culture and social life, and the cornerstone of the family, has been examined based on Turkish and Azerbaijani proverbs. By analyzing existing proverbs, the place and importance of "home/family" in Turkish culture have been attempted to be determined. It has been observed that the concept of "home" in the examined proverbs particularly encompasses the meanings of "family and nest." Additionally, it has been noted that the concept of "home" provides rich material in terms of Turkish and Azerbaijani proverbs. The study aims to draw attention to the similarities between Turkish and Azerbaijani proverbs, which are common cultural products, nourished by traditions, and serving as a social heritage. The proverbs examined in the study have been analyzed under various subheadings in terms of their characteristics.
