In this article, Mehmet Akif Ersoy's ideas and practices in the simplification process of Turkish are discussed. For this reason, first of all, the simplification activities in the history of the Turkish language are briefly mentioned, and especially the language attitude of the National Literature Movement is emphasized. Mehmet Akif's ideas and practices have been analyzed mostly through the language attitude of this movement. An attempt is made to determine Mehmet Akif's understanding of language through quotes from her articles published in various magazines and published memoirs about her, and the evaluations are concretized with lines taken from her poems in Safahat. The relationship between Mehmet Akif's life and political activities and her understanding of art and style is emphasized, and the findings of previous studies on Akif are used in this regard. The harmony between Mehmet Akif's life, her understanding of art and the language she used in her poems is emphasized.
