Abstract: Dog ancestor myth; Its presence is evident in various legends told among Tibetan, Chinese, Mongolian and Hungarian nations, and the dog is used as a symbol of some of these communities. Although it is known that dog-related legends also exist among Turkish communities, various discussions have been made by scholars as to whether these legends can be the origin myths of the Turks. In these discussions, it was put forward that the dog could be a symbol of communities that had not created civilization because it was a low-class animal, and that the Turks chose the wolf because it was at a high level of civilization. All of these opinions and evaluations are based on interpretations of various legends rather than being based on historical documents. In this study, the connection of two fairy tale texts about marriage with a dog, compiled from the Anatolian region, with the dog ancestor myth and the texts of these tale texts in terms of the importance of the subject are included.
