Abstract. Proverbs, which are one of the most widespread genres of oral folk literature in terms of subject and quantity, are not only in the literature of the Turkish peoples, but also in the oral folk literature of all the countries of the world. Proverbs can have a deep meaning as well as being a compact genre. Of course, the main feature of this genre is that sometimes the idea of works written with books is expressed in a single sentence.
