The article considers the communicative function of a language at the level of a systematic approach within a framework of the internal dynamism of its constituent elements. Each element of the language is at the intersection of synchrony and diachrony. Consequently, the semantic meaning of a word that carries information in the communication process is in its internal dynamics. Hence, functionality implies the presence of a static and dynamic state of any language element. The process of functioning of any language element is an interdependent unity of statics and dynamics. As the author notes, the concept of a systematic approach to language in the communication process can determine the limits of the elements of various nominations.
