Abstract: Shah Ismail (1487-1524), the founder of the Safavid State, was also an important and great Iranian ruler. He is also known as the leader of the Safavid Order. Shah Ismail adopted Shiite Islam as the official state sect, and this influenced the cultural and religious structure of Iran after the establishment of the Safavid State. During his reign, the Safavid Empire experienced significant developments in terms of art, literature and architecture. Shah Ismail is a good poet as well as a statesman. His poems focus on a number of themes including religious and political views, love and nature. Especially, the poems he wrote under the influence of the Alevi-Bektashi tradition contain mystical and mystical elements. In his poems, he often referred to himself as "Kızılbaş" and used this expression to describe himself and his followers. At the same time, he emphasizes his devotion to Allah and his Shiite belief in his poems. He used verse forms in the tradition of divan literature in his poems and they were generally written in ghazal and rubai types. His poems are considered an important part of Iranian literature and have an important place in Persian literature. Question sentences and structures in Hatayi's poems should be considered as a stylistic feature. Three types of interrogative sentences have been identified: with interrogative suffixes, with interrogative words, and without interrogative elements. Interrogative sentences are divided into two in terms of meaning: interrogative sentences that expect a definite answer and those that do not expect an answer. Question sentences where no answer is expected have many meanings such as request, request, reinforcement, reminder, emphasis. In the study, the interrogative sentences identified by scanning the Hatayî Divan were evaluated in terms of structure and function. As a result, it can be seen that Hatayî frequently used the question structure as a stylistic feature, and almost all forms of question structures, both in form and meaning, were detected in his work.
