Abstract: The article deals with the calling of the zoonymic lexicon, which is one of the selected word groups in the vocabulary of the language, as well as the zoonymic component phytonyms. As studying the nomination of the words in the language vocabulary has an important linguistic essence, studying the calling principles of the zoonymic lexicon and phytonyms is particular importance. Most of the thematic word groups are dominated by lexical units formed due to secondary nomination. Lexical units created due to metaphorization and similar are also considered to be motivated words to secondary nomination. The process of calling concepts through similarity and analogy is found in all languages of the world, and the parallelism and similarity in calling is related to the commonality and similarity in the thinking of the language speakers. At the same time, there are also differences in the names created due to metaphorization in different languages, which is due to the diversity and diversity of the people's way of thinking, figurative thinking. In various languages of the world, the nominative need of the language, its enrichment, mainly occurs due to secondary nomination, and such language units created due to motivation are animals, plants, food, clothes, etc. is observed more often in the lexicon belonging to lexical-semantic word groups.
