Mendi Mamazairova, a prominent figure in Kyrgyz literature, has produced a body of work spanning from the Soviet era to the contemporary period. Mamazairova, who has the title of “Kyrgyz El Akhin”, has been interested in literature and poetry from an early age. Her educational background and talent are among the primary factors that nourished her pen, alongside the significant influence of her renowned spouse, the writer Colon Mamıtov. Across various literary genres, including stories, poems, and theatre, Mamazairova has particularly distinguished herself in poetry. Mamazairova's commitment to the freedom of the Kyrgyz society and her love of homeland play a major role in her understanding of authorship, which has been the subject of the cultural, political and social events of the Kyrgyz society since her first stories began to be published in 1975. Her literary perspective is deeply rooted in her commitment to the freedom of Kyrgyz society and her fervent patriotism. This study focuses on Mamazairova's collection of patriotic poems from her poetry book titled Tur Uluu Curt, published in Bishkek in 2009. In this collection, Mamazairova explores the notion of homeland comprehensively, addressing themes such as safeguarding national independence, the struggle for the homeland, lamentation for historical wars and losses, and the celebration of patriotism through victorious moments.
