In our modern world, economic development has become a process characterized not by the production of the same variety of goods and services in increasing quantities, but by the production of more complex and quality products based on the process of continuous improvement. As the degree of complexity of markets increases, there is a need to change the paradigm of economic thinking. The structure and diversity of the country's export basket is considered one of the important indicators reflecting the level of economic development. Harvard University professors D. Rodrik, J. Hwang and R. Hausman have proposed "Economic Complexity Index (ECI)" since 2005, which can measure the level of economic development of countries based on the complexity of the export basket. IMI supports the implementation of policies that promote export diversification and innovation for sustainable and sustainable economic development as a modern approach aimed at measuring the country's competitiveness and the quality of export opportunities. In this article, the diversity of the export basket of the Turkic-speaking countries that share the same language and cultural history was examined in order to evaluate their economic development and mutual relations in the global markets. For this purpose, the IM index, which reflects the degree of diversification of each country's export basket, was used. Based on the analysis of the IP index of Turkic-speaking countries for the past years, it was determined that the countries whose export basket is dominated by products and services based on knowledge and skills are considered more competitive and stable than the countries that export a narrower and smaller variety of products.
