The International Research Symposium on the Turkic World was first held in Nigde, Turkey, hosted by Nigde University with the collaboration of Kazakh State Women Teacher Training University (Almaty, Kazakhstan), M. Akmullah Bashkir State Pedagogical University (Ufa, Russia) on the dates of 18-21 March 2014 in order to provide a leading way and a common shared ground of needed scientific researches in all fields which are needed by social sciences in Turkic World, such as; language, literature, history, art history, education, international relations and politics, financial and moral values, economic issues and in the symposium 356 presentations from 18 countries were presented.

II. International Research Symposium on the Turkic World was held with the collaboration of the same partners hosted by Kazakh State Women Teacher Training University in Almaty, Kazakhstan on the dates of 20 -22 May 2015, 300 presentations from 12 countries were presented during the symposium.

III. International Research Symposium on the Turkic World was held in Baku, Azerbaijan with the partnership involvement of Baku Eurasia University (Baku, Azerbaijan) and the support of Yunus Emre Institute on the dates of 25-27 May 2016, hosted by Baku Eurasia University. To the symposium approximately 700 applications with presentations were made from 100 universities and institutions, from 13 different countries and 413 out of them were accepted for the presentation at the symposium.

IV. International Research Symposium on the Turkic World was held in Niğde, Turkey with the partnership of the Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University (Niğde, Turkey), Kazakh State Women Teacher Training University (Almaty, Kazakhstan), M. Akmullah Bashkir State Pedagogical University (Ufa, Russia) and Baku Eurasia University (Baku, Azerbaijan) on the dates of 26-28 April 2017, hosted by Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. To the symposium approximately 650 applications with presentations were made from 15 different countries and 450 out of them were accepted for the presentation at the symposium.

V. International Research Symposium on the Turkic World was held in Almatı, Kazakhstan with the partnership of same universities on the dates of 11-13 October 2018, hosted by Kazakh State Women Teacher Training University. Scientific program of the symposium has been held with 345 presentations from 50 universities and institutions, from 8 different countries.

The festival called “Our Roots are Turkish” which consists of the stage shows with participations of students from partner universities has become a tradition since 2014 at the Symposium is held every year. As well as the exhibition which shows the cultural structure of Turkic World, the participants will also visit the historical and cultural heritages sites under the social activities program during the symposium.

In addition, with the publication of the Proceedings of the Symposium, the knowledge accumulation of these activities are made permanent and open for the constant share.
